Purchase your pass at the office window and receive a physical punch card for swim entry. Just bring it with you whenever you come to swim during rec swim hours, and we’ll punch it based on the number of swimmers in your group! Each pass is valid for up to 10 swimmers!

Passes purchased in Summer 2025 are valid for use during Summer 2026.

GUIDELINES

GROUPS OF 10 OR MORE

The pool capacity is based on the number of available lifeguards we have. Groups of more than 10 swimmers must call the office to set up their registration. Failure to do so may result in the party being turned away due to pool capacity rules.

A swim test may be required for weak swimmers to enter the deep end.

The shallow end is for small children and non-swimmers

No Running – walking only

Shower before entering the pool

Private or outside swim lessons are not permitted during Recreational Swim hours at Rancho Pool. Any violation of this policy may result in removal from the facility and/or expulsion.

No dangerous or rough play – throwing, pushing, dunking, hanging, sitting, or standing on people, hitting with anything, swinging on the handrails.

No annoying or inappropriate behavior – swearing or unwanted advances are unacceptable.

Stay clear of lifeguard equipment, doors, and emergency zones – zones are typically marked in red.

Bathing suits are required

Equipment is at the discretion of the lifeguard

No diving rings in the deep end

No flippers on deck

No Kickboards, snorkels, water mattresses, or large tubes.

Food, drinks, and/or gum must be kept as far as humanly possible from the pool

Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before entering the pool

Adult Supervision Guidelines

Children 4 and under must be within arms reach of an adult while in the pool Weak and non-swimmers must stay where they can stand unless accompanied by an adult.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult as required by law (IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED)

DIVING

  • Diving area is for divers only
  • Dive starting from the red square
  • Area must be clear before diving
  • Swim to the side after diving
  • No pushing pulling or hand-holding
  • No back dives, cartwheels, or handstands
  • No flips spins or twists
  • No jumping over the stairs or onto flotation devices

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Alcohol, drugs, smoking, lighters, and matches are prohibited
  • No glassware anywhere on the facility
  • Food, drinks, and/or gum must be kept as far as humanly possible from the pool.
  • No animals on the facility (except seeing-eye dogs)
  • Bathing suits are required
  • Shower before entering the pool.
  • By state law, you may not use the pool with bandages, open wounds or infectious disease.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in a verbal warning, whistle, or shout, temporary or permanent removal from the water.
